Winemaking: Our Estate Rose is made from Estate grapes that were hand harvested in early morning with cool temperatures then whole cluster pressed in our gentle bladder press. The juice was pumped to a stainless steel tank for cold settling and clarification before racking to a secondary stainless steel tank for alcoholic fermentation. The alcohol ferment was carried out at 14 degrees Celsius to maintain freshness and fruitiness in the wine. When alcoholic fermentation was complete, we sulphured the wine to prevent malolactic fermentation and aged the wine in stainless steel on its fine lees to develop mid palate texture. The wine was then protein stabilized and filtered before bottling.
Appearance:
Pale strawberry with a peach hue.
Aroma:
Fresh and lifted aromas of red fruits including strawberry, candyfloss, red cherry and watermelon. A very fruit driven wine with underlying subtle floral fragrances, hints of cranberry and pink grapefruit.
Palate:
The same aromas carry through on the palate with a focus of strawberry, cranberry and cherry on the forefront. This dry Rose is fresh and fruity with subtle elegant floral notes and hints of creaminess along with a tight and focused mid-palate structure. A light-medium bodied wine with a fresh finish.
